This Year's Beer Selection

Available In Half Litre and One Litre Steins From Our Custom-built German Bar

Flensburger Pilsener (4.8%)

From Germany’s most northern brewery and a favourite of domestic and international markets. It uses its own water well, with the water supplied by an underground vein sourced from Scandinavia. Flensburger Pilsner is a brilliant yellow in colour with a white head and an aroma of grain and malts. The flavour is mildly bitter with a crisp hoppy taste on the palate. This easy drinking beer also has caramel notes with hints of lemongrass. Light citrus is apparent, with a long dry finish. A full bodied pilsner guaranteed to satisfy.

Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier (6.3%)

For the Munich Oktoberfest, Hofbräu brew this special 6.3% beverage that appears yellow to golden in colour with a white head. The aroma of the brew is that of sweet malts with notes of grass, grain and hay. The texture is full bodied and it has a rich, bitter flavour with a hoppy dry finish to it. This can be paired well with traditional Bavarian cuisine but goes down a treat just on its own.

Krombacher Pils (4.8%)

Brewed according to the Reinheitsgebot, the German Purity Law of 1516, Krombacher is the No. 1 premium beer in Germany – the best selling Pilsener in its home country and one of Europe’s leading lagers. It has a wonderful balance of hops and malt with a distinct crispness on the finish.
Krombacher uses the finest natural ingredients: top quality hops from Hallertau, premium malt from spring barley, their own age-old yeast strain and, of great significance, pure local spring water that is soft and low in minerals – ideal for the Pilsener style of beer.

Krombacher Weizen (5.3%)

Stronger than the pils at 5.3%, Krombacher Weizen is an amber coloured wheat beer with a classic haze from the yeast giving it a cloudy appearance. It contains Krombacher’s locally sourced spring water and has Hallertau hops and wheat, caramel and barley malts. A pure yeast strain and a full fermentation guarantee a wheat taste like no other. The aroma is that of banana and honey, courtesy of the malts and the taste is mild and soft whilst bursting with flavour.

Spaten Oktoberfestbier (5.9%)

The World’s First Oktoberfest Beer! Amber in colour. This medium bodied beer has achieved its impeccable taste by balancing the roasted malt flavour with the perfect amount of hops. Having a rich textured palate with an underlying sweetness true to tradition.

Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier (5.0%)

Unfiltered, so cloudy in appearance, the rich but delicately bitter taste of Franziskaner Weissbier results from the large percentage of wheat malt. The flavours of this wheat beer are fruity, with a touch of citrusy orange, mixed with spices, such as clove and coriander. There’s also a touch of other tropical fruits, such as banana.

Erdinger Oktoberfestbier (5.7%)

Brewed especially for festivals, this seasonal beer offers a synergistic combination of two classic German styles, Oktoberfest and wheat beer; a surprising alliance that works very well together and gives a cloudy amber body. A wheat aroma with fruit and clove hints combine with a strong malty flavour at the back .

Benediktiner Hell (5.0%)

Full-bodied with a fine effervescence and intense flavour. Delicate fragrance with an abundance of sweet, fruity and bittersweet aromas such as light honey, ripe grain, yellow apple and hops. On the palate, a well-balanced interplay of effervescence, malty sweetness, and a hint of bittersweet hops that lingers pleasantly.

Bitburger Pils (4.8%)

The classic Bitburger is a mature and most agreeable beer that proved a real hit at last year’s inaugural Whalebone Oktoberfest. Brewed with the best of ingredients in the same traditional way it has been for many, many years, the result is delicately tart and pleasantly bitter with a strong hop taste which is balanced and contained by an agreeable, mellow sweetness in the body..
