COVID 19 UPDATE: JULY 2021
We look forward to taking another step towards normality which will require our customers and team to adapt once more to some changes. Throughout the pandemic we have given every consideration to the health and safety of our staff and customers and give this assurance that our duty of care will continue and be under constant review.
As from Monday 19th July the following will be implemented: –
In all areas the “Rule of Six” will be relaxed as will “Social Distancing” although we will continue trading with a reduced number of tables for the comfort and safety of our customers. Service sanitisation will continue and customers will also have the facility to sanitise their hands.
Our staff will be wearing face masks, but whilst this is no longer compulsory we respectfully ask that you might choose to do so whilst moving to and from your table in consideration of other customers.
We will remain cashless with payments by card only.
The Front Bar will revert to pre covid trading allowing service at the Bar and to all tables within this area.
The remainder of the premises to include the Middle Bar, Conservatory, Malthouse Room and all outside areas will be served by table service only, which has proven to be very popular and the Bar Area will be restricted as a staff service point only.
The restrictions currently in place for the toilets will be lifted and facilities in the Malthouse Room will remain for disabled and multi gender use.
The NHS “Track and Trace” will still be available but no longer a legal requirement.
The new and revised policies will give customers a free choice when entering the Whalebone and we are confident that by their implementation that we will meet the diverse needs of our customers whilst still maintaining a high standard of service and safety.
But we would stress that the relaxation of the rules does not exclude the consideration for others and Customers will be asked to uphold this when enjoying their visit to the Whalebone
Steve and his team look forward to seeing you soon.
